A New Shimmerz Venture + a layout

Hey there and Happy Tuesday!  I'm so excited to tell you about my new project I've started for Shimmerz!  Since there are so many awesome products offered by Shimmerz, I'm going to be sharing a new Shimmerz Shortz video on the ShimmerzTV YouTube channel every Thursday sharing tips, tricks, techniques and information about all the products.  The first one went up last week, and it's a short video on the differences between Inklingz and Creameez.  This is a great way to learn about the products if you've never tried them or are interested in purchasing some but weren't sure what exactly each product is and how they're different.  So go check it out, and stay tuned for the next one in a few days!

I also have a light and airy layout for Shimmerz to share with you today using some gorgeous Shimmerz products.  I used all American Crafts papers and embellishments for this, including the Rise & Shine, Fine & Dandy, Polka Dot Party and Serendipity collections.

I had this photo of myself sitting on my desk for a while, and I challenged myself to make a page using it.  I started with this light wood grain patterned paper and a few stencils.  I used the Great Fruit Creameez and a paint brush to apply it over a triangle stencil.  Next, I used a circle stencil and the Dazzlerz Dreamscicle.  I just used my finger to smudge it on over the stencil.  Once that dried, I used the Dazzlerz Coral Me Crazy and a chevron stencil.  Those two colors look very pretty together...one is a shade darker than the other.  Lastly, I used Coloringz Pretty in Pink and Well Blue Me Down to splatter some dots around the page to tie in all the colors.

Here you can really see what the Dazzlerz look like.  They dry very shiny and glossy.  And they leave a great texture when you used them over a stencil...even with your finger.

I couldn't resist using some gold elements on this layout.  They look so beautiful up next to these pretty light orange tones.  Here you can see the texture from the Dazzlerz again.  You can also see the Creameez splatters.  After I applied it through the stencil with the brush, I dipped the brush back into the container and tapped the brush over the page to get little tiny circles. The Creameez dries with a pretty satin sheen.

Here's another look at the Dazzlerz and Creameez.  You can also see some tiny chunky glitter I sprinkled in over the wet Dazzlerz before it dried.  Aren't these grapefruit-type colors so pretty?  I really love them!

One last close-up again...I cut out a few transparency designs from one of the American Craft sheets and layered them over the background...I love that you can still see the Dazzlerz texture through it.

I hope this gives you some ideas on how you can use your Dazzlerz and Creameez in a few fun ways.  And don't be afraid to use your fingers! :D

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!
